This is what the original floor looked like, ~20 year linoleum. That is the back of the original cabinets installed in '66.
Halfway through demo of the floor, which was top layer 1/4" plywood with linoleum.
underneath that was the original 1/2" particleboard with linoleum. This layer was all wonderbar and hammer for removal.We also ripped out doors and trim, along with everything in the 1/2 bath that is right off of the kitchen, we are going to put 13" tile in there.
We glued and nailed down 1/2 CDX plywood on top of the 1/2" subfloor.
We put 20" tile on 45's. Started at 2:30pm finished at 10pm, we were about 5 tile short, I don't think I could have done those last 5 if we had the tile, I was whipped.
This was shortly after we did the grout and wiped it down a couple of times.
