The King has arrived!

We went to the hospital on Oct. 30th at 7:00am and Tera was induced at 8:30am, she then proceeded into labor for the next ~14 hours, she was dealing with very intense contractions until around 8:30pm when she started pushing on Dr orders.
At 10:51pm October 30th, a 9lb/10oz baby boy, measuring 22inches long was born.
All of this happened without an epidural and all natural. So major props to Tera. I think she is rethinking this decision.
We brought him home around 1pm on Saturday afternoon, Tera's parents were at the house already, they surprised us, which was very nice.
It was a little rough the first night, he wasn't getting enough to eat, so he was a little fussy, so we supplemented with a little formula and that knocked him out for several hours.
Today the milk is flowing, and he is a happy baby, eating and sleeping, and lots of little baby toots.
here's what everybody is wanting to see, more pics.

More doctors appointments
I'm still going to the doctor weekly however the ultrasounds have stopped. I'm still having the non-stress tests though. There isn't much new information. Everything with the pregnancy is going fine. I'm just having the basic discomforts that go along with being pregnant. They did tell me today that I'm dilated 1 cm so hopefully it will be any day now. I'm still working but hopefully for only a couple more days. Dustin's looking forward to being done with work too.

Update

More doctors appointments - Same info. The amniotic fluid has leveled off. They said it's still on the high side but basically normal. They measured him today and said he weighs 7lbs 10oz. We had to laugh because both Dustin and I were 7lbs 10oz when we were born. The doctor wouldn't say for sure that he would come early but she did say that with all the fluid the pressure may cause him to come sooner then later. The nursery is coming along. I've been doing a lot of laundry and finding a spot for everything. Just waiting for Everett. Sunday, September 21, 2008
Maybe in Everett's world there lives a happy little fish over there
I sorta modified a Quote from Bob Ross for the title, it originally read "Maybe in our world there lives a happy little tree over there".
My Mom, aka Grandma 1, aka Sally was over on 9/15/08 slaving in Everett's room painting "Happy Fish" on the walls to make it appear that he is under water. It looks awesome, and it only took a mere 8 hours to paint. She made the stencils from the "Bubbles" bedding set that we are using in the crib.
I already decided that I was going to tell Everett that he needs to watch out when he enter/leaves his room that the crab is going to pinch him when he is not looking.

Stay Puft Marshmallow baby!
This scan is from 9.17.08. Looking at the scan, you would be looking him right in the face. All I can say is wowza those are some big cheeks. It looks like he is either smiling or sucking on a huge gum ball. Tera also says that during the ultrasound that he appears to have rolls on his arms and legs. Ouchi for Tera!
Other info:
As of 9.10.08 Everett weighed 6lbs. 4oz.
Dr. reports Amnionic Fluid level has decreased to the normal range.
Everything is looking normal.

The Crib is Finally done!!!!!
Yes, you read that right, the crib is done. Well to the best of my abilities anyways.
A little history:
I found out that Tera was pregnant and immediately thought about building a crib with Tera's Grandpa(Les, Awesome Woodworker). So I found the plans and hardware kit that I liked on Rockler's website. I found a Mennonite that was looking to sell a bunch of hardwoods, so I bought $500 worth of maple, cherry and oak. The maple that I bought that was dry enough to use was rough at best, but through much work, most of it was usable.
Parts:
4 legs
2 upper and 2 lower end rails
46 slats
2 top and 2 bottom caps
2 gate rails.
plus some other parts.
We changed the plans and decided to go with Tenon/Mortise design, so each slat needed a tenon on each end and each tenon needed a mortise to go in. So 96 tenons, and 96 Mortises, very time consuming.
After it was all cut out, it was up to me to sand and finish it. So after 60, 120, and 22o grit sandings, Tera and I decided to use danish oil(natural) to stain the crib. I applied 2 coats and it looks very nice, very natural.
Here's what you have been waiting for, PICS!!!

More Doctor Appointments
My follow up appointment lead to more wondering. The doctor seemed concerned with the amount of amniotic fluid and scheduled me for weekly ultrasounds and non-stress tests. I went last Wednesday (9/3) and they said the fluid level decreased but is still a little high. The non-stress test measured the baby's heart rate to his movement. Well the little stinker wouldn't move at first so it took a little while. He finally moved and the heart rate went up like it should so that was good. I go back Wednesday for another ultrasound and non-stress test. Below are new ultrasound pics.

Amazon Child
I had a dr's appointment back on the 7th for the routine check-up. Well when she measured my belly it was bigger then it should be. I guess your supposed to be the same number of centimeters as you are weeks. So being at 28 weeks I should be 28 cm but instead I measured 32/33cm. Being 4 cm more then I should the Dr. scheduled me for an ultrasound. I was excited to have another ultrasound but worried about what was going on. So Thursday, the 14th I went for my ultrasound. Everything looked normal just big. She measured different parts like the head, abdomen, and leg bone and the measurements were 4 weeks ahead of were he should be. She estimated that he was 4 lbs and if he gains weight like he should he will be 9lbs when born! I have another appointment on the 25th to follow-up. Good thing too because I have lots of questions about the delivery now! Below are some of the pictures.

Moo Cat

I was painting the closet in the office, and Tera was watching tv in the living room, so Moo being a good kitty was keeping my place on the couch.
We are adding closetmaid shelving to the office closet to add additional storage space to the house, someone(Tera) has way too much stuff, and we need additional storage upstairs.
On a side note, Everything with the Baby is going great, can't say the same thing for Tera, she has been very uncomfortable lately. She is definately showing now. They moved her due date up to Oct. 23rd. I painted the nursery a few weeks ago, it is an ocean teal blueish color. I still have to sand, stain and glue up the Crib. Our baby registry stuff is pretty much ready to go, we registered at Target and Amazon.com

It's a Boy!!!
It was confirmed that we are having a baby boy. Now we can start planning the baby's room and start buying stuff.
The baby is already being a Turd. Tera and I went in for a ultrasound on Monday and the baby was not being cooperative at all when it came to checking its gender. At first the tech said it was a boy, but going in for a second look couldn't find anything, the baby kept moving and putting its leg in the way, the tech couldn't tell us either way. We left disapointed that we didn't know what we were having, but happy that everything else look good, 2 arms, 2 legs, fingers, toes, heart, stomach and all the other stuff.
On our way home the hospital called and said that they wanted Tera to come back on tuesday to take one more measurement.
I gave the baby a talking to before we went to bed, and that it needed to cooperate tomorrow so that we could plan ahead and have everything ready in october.
So, Tera went back on tuesday and the baby had completely moved positions and everything was right out there and in the open.
I have attached the ultrasound from tuesday, enjoy.
