New Fun

Everett's new fun thing to do is pull himself to up to his knees. This has prompted us to lower his crib mattress. He is also trying to pull to standing but he still needs assistance for now.

Everett has also been helping with the kitchen remodeling. His little toy hammer is a big help.

Birthday's

For my 30th birthday I got a palm tree cake. I was very surprised to see something that wasn't a rectangle. I guy that Dustin works with makes these very tasty cakes.
Everett had too much partying. He fell asleep bouncing on Aunt Pat's lap. We also had a combined party for Keith, Jen, and I. Above is a picture of all the cousins. It's hard to get kids to sit for a picture, especially after cake and ice cream.

The Ewing Boys
Everett is trying to figure out Scott
I think Everett has the bad boy look down
We thought we would let Everett drive some of the way. He just wouldn't keep his eyes on the road though.

Carrousel

We took Everett downtown to the carrousel. He had a lot to look at and was very serious. As soon as we put him on the horse he grabbed the bar and held on the whole time. He would give a smile and laugh to let us know he liked it but most of the time he was very serious.

We went on another day with grandpa. I think he has the hang of it and next time we will have to try the moving horses, maybe we'll get more laughs.

May Pics

Dustin sold his probe. So sad. It got us through a lot. Even though "you can fit anything in the probe" it wasn't child seat friendly.

Everett likes the swings at Menard's, especially when William pushes.

These pics were taken at my brother's. He helped me make clay hand and feet prints. He has 2 big akitas that were very curious about the little boy that came in their house. Above you can see Everett peeking out of his pod (my attempt to keep him from the dogs). Below Shounen is saying hi

.5 years old

He cracks me up to say the least. The bad face is from trying a real banana. I meant for it to be a treat on his .5 birthday but he really didn't like it. I later found out that grandpa has been letting him gnaw on apples, I guess I should have tried that.
Everett had his 6 month check-up at the doctors the end of April. He is 21.9 lbs and 28.5 inches which are both 97% for his age and he is hitting all his developmental milestones.

Easter

Everett is a jumpin' machine. He will be half asleep but will still bounce. He liked his Easter cards. Grandma and Grandpa Breinich got him a bunch of fun toys but of course he wanted the green plastic grass.
Everett looks like he's posing for a commercial. He knows the sound of my camera. Silly kid. Things were so crazy we decided to give him his basket Easter eve, not like he understands about the Easter bunny yet.
Everett's first Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Papaw's!

He's starting to sit up on his own, but only for a few seconds. He got to wear his John Deer boots one more time. He's in size 4 shoes already!

Grandma has her hands full!
